Cutler and Gross 2010 Sunglasses - Autumn/Winter

Cutler and Gross have been absent from the blog for some time and that is just not right.  They had a great Spring/Summer collection and the Autumn/Winter is even better.  We are seeing more of the good stuff from them, albeit seemingly more conservative shapes here, fitting for the season.  The dark and dreary colors are great for the season and the simplicity in the frames is excellent.  These are the kind of sunglasses that will go with a suit.

Illesteva 2010 Spring/Summer Sunglasses - Leonard

German sunglasses brand Illesteva release another nice looking classic model with Leonard. It has elements of the class Persol 649 and other sunglass shapes for the 50's and 60's. Their sunglasses are all made in Italy, famous for it's acetate. I prefer the translucent tan colored frame for it's simplicity.

SNL returns to the big screen with MacGruber, which pokes fun at the cheesy MacGyver of the 80's.  Mullets... I've seen the preview and hope that it is not like many of the recent SNL films.  Come to think of it, it's really been awhile since there has been a good one.  Most people say that Wayne's World was the last good SNL film.

Dannii Minogue will return to The X Factor

Dannii Minogue is signed a £450,000 contract to return to The X Factor just eight weeks after giving birth.

Her role as a judge had been in question after she announced that she was pregnant with her first child during the auditions for the 2010 show.

However, she will return to work two months after the arrival of her baby in July with the help of her boyfriend Kris Smith.

She will appear on the ‘judges houses’ segment of the ITV series in September, where she will help narrow down the hopefuls, alongside fellow judges Simon
Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh.

A source close to the singer said that she was not taking a pay cut, telling the Daily Mail: 'Dannii's pay is working out as like for like for the amount of episodes she has to film, compared to the last series.'

Former Spice Girl Mel B and at least two other celebrities will take her place in the auditions round.

This week she has confessed that she is finding it hard to relax, saying: 'I need to take some time off, which I'm not used to doing. I should be having naps, but I think 'That's not me, that's boring'. But I'm having to give in to it.

'I used to think being pregnant would be the longest time in the world. But with going back and forth from London, with me working, Kris working, there's so much going on.

'After baby's born, I'll absolutely switch off. You have to. I just want to have the baby, shut the door, and take some time off work. That's it.'

She added that her sister Kylie would be with her after the birth in her home city of Melbourne, saying: 'We don't know when the baby will arrive yet, but she's easy with jumping on a plane at the drop of a hat.'

Ronan Keating dumped by wife

Ronan Keating has been dumped by his wife of 12-years after becoming too close to a backing dancer.

It is said that the Boyzone star had become increasingly intimate with the blonde on the Boyzone comeback tour last May and June.

One source told the Daily Mail: 'It was the talk of the Boyzone tour for quite a while. Ronan and the girl were certainly very close.'

The couple married on 30 April 1998 and have 3 children together, Jack, 11, Marie, 9, and Ali, 4.

Ronan and his wife Yvonne said in a statement that their split had been ‘amicable’.

Meanwhile friends of the couple have expressed their shock and sadness at the news of the split.

X Factor judge Lois Walsh told the Sun: ‘I'm absolutely stunned, if you asked me one couple I thought would never break up, it would be Ronan and Yvonne.’

‘They've been together since they were kids," he told the Sun.’

Every celebrity seems to be releasing sunglasses.  We've had Paris Hilton, Madonna, the Olsen sisters and rumours of Lady Gaga recently.  Now we hear that Mary J. Blige sunglasses are soon to be found on shelves everywhere.  The line is going to be called Melodies by MJB and should be available soon.

The sunglasses are very diva-ish and look reasonable, but they aren't breaking any creativity laws here.  Most celebrity sunglasses are like this.  The Madonna D&G sunglasses were very plain looking but everyone talked about them because of Dolce and Gabbanna.  I don't think the same thing will be happening here.

Kylie denies X Factor judging rumours

Kylie Minogue has denied that she will be taking over from sister Dannii Minogue on The X Factor.

Dannii is due to give birth in July, which means she will miss the audition stage.

Kylie had been rumoured d to replace Danni on the judging panel, but has confirmed she will not be able to step in.

She said on Australian radio show 2DayFM: ‘A, I don't think I'd be very good at it. And B, I'm too busy doing other things,' she tells Australia's 2DayFM.

The pop princess also spoke about how she is working on a new stage show based on her songs.

She said: 'The musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert which I saw in London starring Jason Donovan had a little medley of my music, which was inspiring.'

'It made me realise there’s definitely enough of my songs now to make it work and to soundtrack a story.'

'It’s not about me, but there might be some references to me. Once we get the story right, we’ll be storming ahead.'

She also said that her favourite song from her 20-year career was’ Where the Wild Roses Grow’, a duet with fellow Australian singer Nick Cave that was released in 1995.

'It was such a difference experience it stands out. It was a special moment.'

Miley Cyrus caught dirty dancing with an older man

A video showing 17-year-old Miley Cyrus gyrating against a 45-year-old film producer at a cast wrap party for the film The Last Song has been leaked onto the internet.

The secret video footage shows the Hannah Montana star dirty dancing with famed choreographer Adam Shankman.

Miley - who was only 16-years-old at the time - even flipped open the top layer of her shirt in his direction as they cavorted around to various hip hop songs.

In response, Adam waved his hands around and at one stage mimicked slapping her thighs.

Adam, a judge on the US version of So You Think You Can Dance, is openly gay but that has not stopped critics from blasting Miley for her outrageous behaviour.

A source told showbiz website RadarOnline: ‘The worst part is that there were little kids at the party and the dancing between Miley and Adam was so dirty that some of the parents actually left the party and took their kids home.’

But one person who is not bothered by the video is her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, who told TMZ: ‘It's what people her age do.’

Miley is currently dating her Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth.

Usher vows to be an icon like Michael Jackson

Usher has claimed he is well on the way to becoming an icon like the great Michael Jackson.

The ‘OMG’ singer, whose latest album Raymond V Raymond has taken fourth spot in the charts, would like to fill the void left by the late singer, who he is
greatly inspired by.

He told the Daily Star: ‘I've been doing this 18 years now and my icon is well on its way,’

‘Michael was doing it for 50 years and that's something I'd like to grow towards. At the same time, I am one of a kind, a worldwide pop icon.’

He is was pleased after Jay-Z said that he has the potential to become a global superstar like his musical icon.

Jay-Z was so impressed with his tribute to the King of Pop at the Grammy Awards and hailed him as the best dancer and singer since Michael.

The rapper told Access Hollywood: ‘I thought the Michael Jackson tribute was fantastic and I thought Usher was doing a magnificent job. I think he's one of the guys that's in line to fill those huge shoes.’

But becoming the musical equivalent of the King of Pop is not without its draw backs.

In a recent interview with the Guardian the 31-year-old talks about the pressures of fame and living in front of the public eye.

He told the paper: ‘I don't have a private life – that's the catch,’

‘What R&B music is, and what it always has been, is taking an emotional experience and singing it passionately. Privacy is something that just isn't there. Every other day something's written about you, but you can't get caught up in it. Taylor Momsen continues to cause controversy

Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen has caused controversy for swearing on the This Morning sofa.

The 16-year-old, who is best known for playing Jenny Humphrey in the hit ITV2 series, had been busy promoting her band, The Pretty Reckless.

When asked about handling the pressures of fame at such a young age, she told hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: ‘If you do what I do, you just don't give a s***...Can I not say that?’

To which Philip replied: ‘Not really, but we will apologise.’

The willowy star, who stands at 5ft 8in tall, also made an attempt to quash rumours that she has an eating disorder.

She said: ‘I just don’t read it because someone is always going to say what you’re doing or how you’re looking or whatever and it’s like, just be comfortable in your own skin and what you’re doing’

In other news, it has been confirmed that Taylor will be leaving Gossip Girl and the Upper East Side this season. And, if rumours are to be believed, will be followed by another female lead (who will leave a broken hearted boy behind). Who could it be?

Her stepdaughter almost ruined the stars big adoption surprise at Christmas when she told her mum that Sandra was pregnant.

Sunny James was speaking to her mother (porn star Janine Lindemulder) on the phone when she nearly revealed her bid to adopt a baby boy from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Sunny started to tell me she was really excited because somebody in the family was possibly pregnant. Then all of a sudden, the phone went silent. Sunny finally got back on the phone and said, 'Oh, I can't talk about that. That's my secret with Sandy.' I was upset, because you tell kids to please don't keep secrets from your parents.’

But Janine was not offended. She even praised Sandra for being a mum to her children, who she lost custody to her ex-husband Jesse James.

She said: ‘Sandra's organised and focused. She packs perfect lunches. She thinks of every little detail from sun block to sanitary wipes and the perfect amounts of food. I can't compete. If I could wish any stepmom for my daughter, it would be Sandra…She's done a wonderful job with Sunny.’

In other news, Sandra has officially filed for divorce from Jesse James after he admitted to having an affair with tattooed model Michelle McGee.

The divorce papers that were filed in Travis County District Court in Austin, Texas, state that: 'The marriage… has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities that destroys the legitimate end of the marriage/relationship and prevents any reasonable expectations of reconciliation.' And show she has no plans to get custody of her ex-husband’s
children.

Kristen Stewart tells all to Elle

Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan in the Twilight film saga, is telling all in the June issue of Elle fashion magazine.

She wows on the front cover in a loose fitting top tucked into high-waist trousers. Inside she opens up about fame and her relationship. Here are some of
the highlights.

On being famous:

‘It’s insane! Once somebody finds out, you have to get the hell out of wherever you are. People freak out. And the photographers, they’re vicious. They’re mean. They’re like thugs. I don’t event want to drive around by myself anymore. It’s f*****g dangerous.’

On losing her privacy:

‘Somebody knocked on my hotel room door and asked for a light, then said that they were a big fan. I was like, ‘Do you really need me to light your cigarette? How do you know what room I’m in?’ I can’t be by myself and I like being by myself.’

On accepting awards:

‘I think it’s funny that when I go onstage to accept an award, they think I’m nervous, uncomfortable, and awkward—and I am—but those are bad words for them.’

On her red-carpet behaviour:

‘People say that I’m miserable all the time. It’s not that I’m miserable, it’s just that somebody’s yelling at me…I literally, sometimes, have to keep myself from crying…It’s a physical reaction to the energy that’s thrown at you.’

On her relationships:

‘I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, ‘Just say who you’re dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.’ It’s like, No they won’t! They’ll ask for specifics.’

Kristen will next appear on the big screen on June 30 in Eclipse, the third instalment of the Twilight saga.
