Ksubi Sunglasses 2011 Photos

Ksubi sunglasses are always something to report about, take a good look at and wear if you've got the bank.  Their claim to fame is their jeans, but Ksubi's sunglasses are often very nice.  Sometimes they go to far with originality and make almost unwearable styles, but it seems with the 2011 line they might hit the mark.  Here we have the first pictures of the 2011 line.  I would like more detailed pictures, but they will come later.

Tom Ford 2010 Sunglasses - Autumn/Winter Campaign

Tom Ford's Autumn/Winter collection should be available soon and I recently saw the photo shoot for it.  It's a little different than previous campaigns.  There are attacks from crows happening here, in what may be Hitchcock references.  The styles are similar to what we've seen before - elegant, minimal frames, large lenses.  The male model is Nicholas Hoult, who played in Tom Ford's movie "A Single Man".  The woman is Freja Beha Erichsen, a Danish model.

These frames are not yet available on the Tom Ford site, but should be coming out soon.  Like previous Tom Ford sunglasses, expect the prices to start around $250.

Victoria Beckham Gold Sunglasses with Cutler & Gross

Victoria Beckham sunglasses have not impressed me much up to now.  Making a good choice in teaming up with Cutler & Gross (one of my favorite brands), she has released an 18k gold frame which is simply exquisite.  The frame is massive and the lenses are the same.  Obviously a big fan of the oversized frames, this is the most over-the-top from her collection.

The frame seems to be inspired by the latest group of gold-plated sunglasses.  Their style is in no way subtle and neither is the price.  At about $745, these will set you back a big.  They are limited edition.

Madonna is odd one out as she directs new movie

Madonna sported odd socks as directed new movie W.E., a romantic drama focusing on the affair between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson.

While the actors had an excuse for their odd fashion sense, their director did not.

The singer rode around on a bicycle wearing a quirky outfit, which consisted of a fedora hat, leather jacket, neck scarf and sweat pants with one knee-high golf sock pulled over the knee.

She also wore a pair of sunglasses from the eagerly anticipated Madonna Dolce&Gabbana collection (MDG).

The collection is the first co-branded collaboration that Dolce&Gabbana has ever undertaken and features six different styles in a choice of colours.

Her sunglasses show case an oversized frame with bold contours made from sleek metal. The brow line dips for feminine appeal and the frame gently wraps around her face. The temples have metal accents and which are decorated with the recognisable MDG logo. The M is punctuated with little stars and is the vocal point of the frame. A plaque also aligns the arm interior for maximum authenticity and silicon nose pads ensure supreme comfort when you need it the most.

What more could any woman want from a pair of sunglasses?

Red carpet face off: Ke$ha Vs Juliette Lewis

Ke$ha and Juliette Lewis have given a certain mirrored aviator quite the red carpet workout this summer.

We noticed that the Ray-Ban Road Spirit Outdoorsman first appeared on Juliette Lewis at the Ray-Ban Aviator: The Essentials re-launch back in May.

The actress and singer donned a pair of the cool shades on the red carpet as well as a pair of stonewash denim jeans, which she layered with a red top, a blue denim and a leather jacket.

A couple of months later, Ke$ha wore the same sunglasses to the Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where she was hosting hosted an exclusive invite-only pool party.

Their sunglasses were originally designed for U.S. military pilots in 1937. Now their ridiculously cool shades form part of the Ray-Ban Outdoorsman collection and are the hottest accessory to own this season.

Ke$ha opted for a feathered hair accessory, while Juliette toughened up her look with a leather jacket.

But while Juliette looked absolutely rocking, Ke$ha added a bit more dazzle with a black frame and mirrored lenses.

Heidi Montag wears sunglasses for the first time post-surgery

Reality TV star Heidi Montag is holidaying in Costa Rica, where she made a breakthrough on Wednesday.

George Clooney Sunglasses in The American Movie

George Clooney stars in "The American", a film about a hit-man on his last job that runs into trouble.  I'm always interested in what George is doing, but sadly this plot seems to have been done a few times before.  Maybe with famed photographer Anton Corbijn as director, we will see some interesting still shots and nice sets.  At least with the two of them the movie will look good.

Mr. Clooney wears two pairs of sunglasses in the film.  The first one...

... I cannot figure out.  There are no distinctive markings of any kind.  They are just a regular pair of sunglasses, though I'm sure they are name brand.  If you know what they are, please let me know in the comments below.

... I know.  George Clooney's sunglasses here are Persol 2883s sunglasses.  They are not one of the most popular Persol styles, but that's a good thing.  George Clooney has been known to wear Persol sunglasses in different films including Oceans 12.

Sylvester Stallone Sunglasses in The Expendables

Sylvester Stallone takes another shot at directing with The Expendables, which has literally the best cast ever for an action movie, just as their promo lines say.  I haven't seen the film but it looks like a B movie that wishes it were an A movie.  Either way, it's kicking ass at the box office and I've heard from some people that it's not bad.  Also, Sylvester Stallone's sunglasses have been mentioned.

He is wearing a fitting pair for his role - the Ray-Ban 3029 Outdoorsman II.  They are hard to make out from the trailer but you can make out the top ridge in the still photo.

Pitbull Sunglasses in I Like It - Enrique Iglesias

The most unlikely match in pop has happened and everyone is loving it.  Covering both extremes of the masculinity scale, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull have collaborated together to make a song, called "I Like It".  It's near the top of the charts now and it's been a long time since we've seen Enrique there, though Pitbull was ruling the world all last year.  It's a catchy song and will maybe relaunch Enrique's career in the U.S.

Pitbull does what he does in the video, calling himself a mix of Tiger Woods and Jesse James.  He's the nastiest dude out there and loves it.  I think it's working for him.  Pitbull's sunglasses in the video are Oakley Dispatch sunglasses.  He's been seen wearing them since last year and brought them to the set.  It's a safe style that should be popular for a long time.

Romain Kremer Mykita Sunglasses 2011 - Gordon

The French designer Romain Kremer has teamed up again with Mykita for another interesting pair of sunglasses.  Like we've seen with other designers lately, it's almost a pair of goggles, including the side windows reminiscent of something my grandfather used to wear over his glasses, though his were not yellow.  I think they are an nice match to Romain Kremer clothes.

They should be available for Spring/Summer 2011.

Katie Price Vs Katy Perry in fashion stakes

It is decision time. Katie Price and Katy Perry both donned the same Prada sunglasses. But, who gets your vote in the fashion stakes?

Katie surprised us on a recent trip to London in the sophisticated Prada shades, which are taken from the Prada Postcard collection.

The reality star teamed her sunglasses with blue denim jeans, a black top, a casual up do and no makeup.

But we knew we had seen these sunglasses before…

Not only did Katy wear them for her performance at the launch of the Volkswagen 2011 Jetta in Times Square. But also outside of a luxury five star during a leg of her California Gurls tour in Paris.

The singer paired her sunglasses with a black and white printed shift dress, a diamante cuff, and shoulder length curls with glossed pink lips.

Tom Ford back to his old tricks

As the man behind the now-infamous Opium campaign featuring Sophie Dahl reclining naked across a cushion, Tom Ford has never shied away from controversy.

Taio Cruz Sunglasses in Dynamite Video

Taio Cruz is once again at the top of the charts with the release of "Dynamite".  The song follows up his highly successful "Break Your Heart".  He's already a music star and might become known in the fashion world as well.  His label Rokstarr sells clothes, sunglasses and other accessories and they are all getting exposure in his videos.

Problem is, I can't find any evidence of these sunglasses on the Rokstarr site, or anywhere. The sunglasses from the "Break Your Heart" video are on the site, but these are not.  I can't imagine that he would wear something that is not his own, so maybe they are an upcoming pair?  I've seen him wearing them also at the T4 on the Beach event in the UK.  If I'm wrong on this, please let me know in the comments.

Prada introduces Postcard sunglasses

The new Prada Postcard sunglasses collection features the same frame in six different colours, each inspired by sophisticated city destinations and the traditional seaside holiday.

Police lands starring role in The Expendables

The Expendables featuring the greatest-ever-action-hero-all-star-cast opens in UK cinemas this weekend.

Starring, directed and co-written by Hollywood hard man Sylvester Stallone, The Expendables follows a team of mercenaries –Jason Statham, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, and Dolph Lundgren – as they try to overthrow a South American dictator.

Who wore it best? Kelly Osbourne Vs Paris Hilton

Reality TV stars Paris Hilton and Kelly Osbourne certainly know how to dress and despite having different tastes in clothes, they do have at least one thing in common – Tom Ford Nikita.

Both have been photographed wearing Nikita sunglasses these past few weeks.

Kelly donned a black version shortly after splitting with fiancé Luke Worrell.

Paris Hilton spots a dog in sunglasses

Paris Hilton put her search for a new BFF on hold on last week, as she cuddled up to a fluffy white canine.

The heiress was shopping for birthday presents with new boyfriend Cy Waits at the Grove on Friday, when she came across the four-legged friend.

The animal-love was photographed next to the pooch – who was wearing sunglasses - and later posted on social networking Twitter:

Katy Perry Sunglasses in Teenage Dream Video

Katy Perry's domination on the pop world continues with the poetic "Teenage Dream".  It's a follow up California Gurls and has a lot of the same good stuff, just without the D O Double G.  Is this going to replace California Gurls as the hit of the summer?  Is that even possible?
