Heidi Montag's mum has opened up to US Weekly about her 'devastation' over the loss of her daughter to Spencer Pratt, and claims Spencer may have even drugged The Hills starlet before their surprise elopement in Mexico.
Darlene Egelhoff, 46, told the magazine, 'He's manipulative and seems to have power over Heidi,' she said, before making the shocking implication, 'I would like to see a blood test from Mexico. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had her drugged.'
'Spencer has tried to cut everyone out of her life,' adding, 'I've been honest with Heidi, and it's caused our relationship to decline. I'm more devastated about that than the marriage, because I'm confident the marriage won't work out.'
Darlene and her daughter used to be inseparable and she feels as though Heidi's rushed into things too fast. 'She was my Velcro, always attached to me,'
'I want the best for my daughter - and he's definitely not it. I think Spencer wants to possess Heidi more than marry her.'
So, how long does Heidi's mother think they'll marriage will last? 'Six months,' she said, 'I think it's the biggest mistake Heidi's ever made,'
The Hills Actress and singer responded to her mothers outburst in this weeks issue of US Weekly, and says her mum wasn't invited to her nuptials because she was starting so much drama.
The Bride told US, 'She should be happy I found someone I love,'.
