These pictures have graced just about every tabloid and magazine this week, they show superstar singer Rihanna wearing the most controversial footwear in fashion right now, £3,766 Balenciaga Gladiator Sandals! The last shoes to create this much of a stir were Marc Jacob's surreal shoes, shoes without heels, leaving the wearer to balance on their tip toes.
Believe it or not Rihanna's worn these bizarre eyesores more than once, as she wore them in a TV interview for everyone to see! These sandals are not for the faint hearted or for easy wearing as they have at least 10 straps that need to be buckled up around the leg, per shoe! Once you've strapped yourself in and maxed out your credit card you'll then be walking on a 5 inch embellished heel.
Us fashion lovers have all done it, we walk into a store, see something distinctive, unique and cutting edge, so much so we fall in love with the item and take it upon ourselves to try and pull them off. Some items though just look better off then on and should be left on the shelf! I can see the logic behind Rihanna's outfit, crazy insane sandals, I know, I'll team them with an equally, swirly and slightly ugly print top. 2 fashion wrongs don't make a right Rihanna!
However Rihanna's Gucci 3016 sunglasses in black have balanced out the bad with something good.
