| The 2008 VMAs saw the reintroduction of Britney Spears looking as she did in her glory days, it's such a huge turn around for the star in comparison to last years VMAs where everyone watched in sadness, and saw just how far she'd fallen when she badly mimed to 'Gimmie More' whilst looking spaced out, and unable to keep her balance whilst attempting to dance on stage. This time she stole the entire show by winning 3 awards all for the single 'Piece Of Me', in my opinion the video for the single wasn't anything special but who cares? This girl needs a break, and everyone's hoping she'll get back on top form.
She was joined by our very own Russell Brand who stirred up his usual controversy with his words about sex and politics. The show opened with a twisted performance from Rihanna of her new single 'Disturbia' featuring dancing zombies with orange lasers. The Jonas Brothers, Pink, and T.I. Surprisingly Kanye West who has previously slammed MTV closed the show with his performance of his new single 'Love Lockdown'. New look curvy Christina Aguilera performed her first performance of new sounding 'Keeps Getting Better', and although it doesn't showcase her astounding vocal range like her previous records her new sound will please current fans and possibly gain her new audiences.
