Doll Domination
American all girl group the Pussycat Dolls and dance ensemble were founded by choreographer Robin Antin in 1995.
They began as a burlesque (strip tease) troupe who secured a regular slot at 'The Viper Room' for more than five years.
In 1999 Playboy ran a Pussycat Doll pictorial and then three years later the Dolls moved to 'The Roxy Theatre'.
The group became internationally popular appearing in magazines, television shows and 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle' dancing to 'The Pink Panther Theme'.
In 2004 the group released their first single 'Don't Cha' and debut album 'PCD' and opend their own club 'The Pussycat Lounge' with resident live burlesque shows and a Casino.
This week the Pussycat Dolls celebrate the release of their second album 'Doll Domination' with a performance at 'Hollywood and Highland' (shown below).
It seems the Pussycat Dolls are more than a one hit wonder and today the Sunglasses Shop is taking a closer look at Melody Thronton's eyewear.
